At Edgeinvest, we're dedicated to providing transparency with users' finances by clearly displaying where their money is. Our team functions the same way.

• Agile iterations over Waterfall methodology. At Edgeinvest, we iterate on our products in sprints. We want to utilize Agile methodologies for as long as we can. We believe that iterating and being scrappy with features helps us build high-functioning products in the long-term.

Responsibilities

• Work with quantitative development team under CTO to build algorithms and data-centered products
• Code in Python, using data libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, SciKit-Learn, and Tensorflow
• Contribute to the core team and propose algorithmic architecture as we build new products

Who We're Looking For

Ideally (but not required), you would:

• Have experience building NLP/sentiment analysis algorithms
• Have experience with data science (scraping, cleaning, understanding, implementing)
• Have an understanding of financial technology platforms
• Code fluently in Python, understanding of C++ is a plus
• Be a university student (undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate) studying for a degree in Computer Science, Finance/Economics, Data Science, or related field
• Love working on small, but engaged and efficient teams
